The Medan Metropolitan Police has once again carried out an internal organizational refresh by rotating a number of personnel within the force. The reassignment involves several officers serving in positions ranging from Unit Chiefs (Kanit) and Section Chiefs (Panit) to Sub-Unit Chiefs (Kasubnit) across various departments and precincts. The personnel changes were formalized through an official telegram issued directly by the Chief of Medan Metropolitan Police as part of an ongoing evaluation and effort to strengthen institutional performance. Some officers received promotions to higher positions, while others were transferred to fill strategic roles in different units. According to the rotation list, several officials within the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) and subordinate police precincts have been assigned to new posts. Officers who previously served as Sub-Unit Chiefs have been entrusted with Unit Chief positions, while a number of current Unit Chiefs have been moved to other assignments to support organizational needs and enhance public service. The transfers are described as part of the normal dynamics of police administration aimed at improving professionalism and optimizing law enforcement and public security services throughout Medan. The rotation is also intended to provide fresh challenges and ensure that personnel can deliver their best performance in their new assignments. The leadership of Medan Metropolitan Police expressed hope that all officers entrusted with their new responsibilities will quickly adapt and carry out their duties professionally, humanely, and responsively to the needs of the community.
